Thambiran Heart & Vascular Institute – Profile & Brief Overview Thambiran Heart & Vascular Institute is the first Heart Attack Prevention Center focusing on early diagnosis, correcting/modifying all the risk factors associated with cardiovascular disease, preventing premature heart attacks by offering quality care and focused on creating a heart healthy society globally. The institute’s diagnostic & therapeutic protocol incorporates guidelines put forward by various International Task forces such as, American Heart Association, American Society of Echocardiographers, ATP111, European Society of Cardiology, Society of Heart Attack Prevention and Eradication, Framingham Risk Score, Inter Heart Study, American Diabetic Association, International Obesity Task force, United States Dietary and Agriculture etc. The institute offers a range of non-invasive diagnostic vascular screening tests targeted not only at heart attack prevention, but also at chronic life style diseases such as diabetes, hypertension (BP), high cholesterol and obesity. The institute has developed its own unique Peripheral Vascular Screening Protocol and calculates an individual cardiac risk profile for each individual who undergoes the vascular screening test. The individual cardiac heart risk profile enables the Vascular Physician to identify the incidence of occurrence of a heart attack risk at least 5 to 15 years in advance.
